Dedicated to Fire Safety Education
The Sacramento Regional Fire Museum is dedicated to fire safety education. We are working with the Firefighters Burn Institute to develop education programs for virtual classrooms in the Sacramento region. We know now more than ever that our greatest opportunity to positively impact our communities is to ensure that our youth and families are prepared and equipped to deal with fire emergencies.
The Firefighters Burn Institute Partnership
The Sacramento Regional Fire Museum has had a strong partnership with The Firefighters Burn Institute since it's inception. We have been working with them to host fundraising events and develop education programs. Since the museum cannot be open due to the outbreak of COVID-19 affecting all people and organizations, we have turned our full attention towards developing our education programs. The Firefighters Burn Institute has a long history of fire safety education, and we have strengthened our partnership with them to bring their great programing to even more families.
Before COVID-19, the Burn Institute would take their educational programming on the road to visit schools and put on assemblies and other fire education demonstrations. Because the schools in our region are continuing their education virtually, we are working to turn the Burn Institutes programs virtual so that excellent fire prevention and response materials can reach even more community members.
Soon we will be releasing a comprehensive set up educational materials created in conjunction with The Burn Institute:
- Educational Video Series detailing fire safety best practices
- PDF Infographics and checklists for fire safety at home
